CURIOUS GEORGE
Themed Birthday Party
As a child my Papa would read my sister and I books all the time. Curious George was one that always stood out to me and brought me back to my childhood. Although our son never got the chance to meet his Great Papa (and he was great), this was a way for us to remember him.

We had Carter's baptism that morning so it was a baptism/birthday party so instead of a birthday cake we had a baptism cake for our guests. Carter still got a Curious George themed smash cake |

I covered the cake pop box with red tissue and cut up a Curious George book and used the front cover on the front of the cake box. I also used pages from the book I cut up to make the banners over the gift and dessert tables |

I purchased the monkey and made the banner, the cake decorator did the rest. |

I did A LOT of Pinteresting and shopping around for red/yellow items and looked everywhere I could think for Curious George themed stuff. What I couldn't find I made because I had this vision in my head of just what I wanted. Chevron was a big theme as well and I incorporated it with fabric, papers, and bandannas. Everything turned out so great and came together much faster then I expected.
I think our "curious little monkey" had a great 1st birthday!
